Jobs in international development
Programme Accountant (full-time)
For 25 years Send a Cow has been helping thousands of African families grow enough food to eat, sell their produce and develop small businesses that last. Providing livestock, seeds, training and ongoing support, we help families leave poverty behind for good.
We are now entering an exciting period of growth. Reporting to the Director ofFinance and Resources and working closely with Finance Managers in our Country Programmes, you’ll be responsible for coordinating and supporting the international finance function, ensuring that all stages of the financial process from planning to reporting both internally and externally are completed effectively. In addition to a regulatory role, you will also be improving and building the financial capacity of staff in Africa and will be able to make two to three overseas trips a year to carry out internal audits and provide relevant training to our programme staff.
Ideally professionally qualified, you’ll have at least two years’ relevant experience. Organized with excellent attention to detail, you’ll have outstanding communication and interpersonal skills and have sound experience of reviewing financial information prepared by others. Above all, you’ll enjoy working in a small team which is committed to bringing our life changing work to thousands of families in Africa.
