The Humanitarian Policy Group (HPG) of the Overseas Development Institute (ODI), with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark, will be holding a conference on Urban Displacement and Development: Moving the debate forward on the 7-8 February in Copenhagen, Denmark.

There is a broad consensus within the humanitarian sector about the prevalence, causes and consequences of urban displacement, and the pressing need for coherent and targeted action to respond to the challenges it presents. This conference aims to engage new actors in the debate about how to address urban displacement. The event will bring together development specialists and humanitarian professionals to explore new approaches to addressing the plight of the urban displaced.
