U.S. Department of State, USAID to Lead Haiti Media Call Series
With the one year anniversary of Haiti's devastating earthquake approaching, officials from the U.S. Department of State and USAID will lead a series of on-the-record conference calls for members of the press. The calls will outline U.S. Government objectives in Haiti for the next 12 months - and beyond. Officials will also provide an overview of progress made since the January 12, 2010 earthquake.
The calls will focus on the following areas:
Infrastructure - State Department and USAID officials will discuss Haiti's future housing, commerce and rubble removal needs.
