> Today was the final day of WTM 2014 at ExCeL London. Sunderland AFC
> continued to strengthen its links with Tanzania in particular, following
> the signing of a ground-breaking business partnership, which sees the
> country become the ‘Official Destination Partner’ of Sunderland AFC.
> Once again Sunderland officials were present at the Tanzania’s
> stand at the world travel market not only to give support to
> Tanzania Tourist board as tourism is a key factor in the upward growth
> of the Tanzanian economy and the partnership aims to use the global reach of
> the Barclays Premier League to promote the country as a tourist destination.
> Premier League football is watched in over 200 countries, with accumulative
> audience of a phenomenal 4.7 billion, making it the most watched sporting
> league in the world but also free tickets were offered through a
> rafle to watch a match between Sunderland and Chelsea. Present was
> the Tanzania high commissioner H.E Peter kallaghe and other
> dignitaries .
