December 2008
Merry Christmas!
Hello!
Is the world spinning faster or is it just me who feels like the year has really flown fast! Well, we have come to the end of 2008 - having made great progress in building N4P as the leading network for professionals in the Diaspora. In this final newsletter for 2008, we recap on some of this year's highlights and give you a preview of what is in store for 2009. We started the year with less than 100 people registered on our website and as we come to the end of the the year, this number has grown to nearly 500 and over 2000 people have attended our events this year! Some of the key milestones and achivements for 2008 were: » Jan 2008: Launched the new strategy for N4P (previously known as Kenya Club) » Mar 2008: Launced the redesigned N4P website with plenty of new features » Apr 2008: Hosted an interactive dialogue on the role of professionals in the Diaspora » Jul & Nov 2008: Supported The Commonwealth Countries League (CCL), a charitable organisation aimed at sponsoring secondary education for needy girls from several Commonwealth countries, in promoting the Commonwealth Fair » Jul 2008: In collaboration with the Kenya High Commission, supported Honourable Raila Odinga's first visit to the UK since his inauguration as Kenya's Prime Minister » Aug 2008: Held the 2nd Invest in Africa Exhibition in London.
