4th February….Today is World Cancer Day. What are you going to do?

I remember the summer of 2006 as if it was yesterday, this lady 35-45years old, undergoing treatment for breast cancer…living alone, in a one bedroom house with no one to visit her…in between her aggressive treatment, regime, you would see her struggling to her garden…lying herself on the grass to get the sun, always wondering why she is still living and why she has to go through all this suffering…either side of her address, are neighbours who are seemingly living a vibrant life without having a care in the world, oblivious to the fact that what this lady desperately wants is to hear a warm voice…hey, how are you, or even a warm smile to show her that people care…

But this ought not to be so.

You can be the difference ….

…take up the challenge today…

•Are you going to think of someone else other than yourself?
•Do you want to know more about cancer?
•Do you want to know how you can support your neighbour suffering from cancer?
•Do you want to know how to approach your neighbour that you haven’t spoken to ever since you moved into that new address?
•Do you want to know how you can include neighbourliness in your busy schedules?
Your questions, experiences, your voice, your dialogue, your contribution could change someone’s life.

Be the difference by making your voice heard.
