Ayoub, One of the our key promises was to put an extra 20,000 police officers on our streets. And to do that we set ourselves the ambitious target of recruiting 6,000 officers by the end of March 2021. Today Ayoub, our first-year results have been released, and we have blown away that target, recruiting 8,771 new officers already. For this incredible progress to continue we need good Conservative Police and Crime Commissioners (PCCs) across the country.   Which is why I’m urging you to vote for your local Conservative candidate a week today. Share our Progress PCCs help us to recruit officers, cut crime and keep our streets safe.  But time and again Labour have proven they are just not up for the job.  Putting themselves on the side of criminals instead of our police, by voting against: ❌ Funding increases for our police ❌ Tougher sentences for violent offenders ❌ More powers to take knives off our streets ❌ Delivering better protection for victims and witnesses ❌ Longer sentences for those who assault emergency workers The choice is therefore clear. Only the Conservatives are putting more police on our streets and backing them with the powers they need.  So Ayoub, a week today, make sure to vote Conservative.
